In 2020, First Republic launched its first-ever Environmental Sustainability Initiative (ESI) — a comprehensive program dedicated to environmental stewardship, responsible investing, and community engagement. The initiative unified efforts across the Bank to promote sustainable practices, expand green product offerings, and strengthen partnerships with organizations driving environmental progress.

As President of Eagles for Earth, First Republic’s employee-led environmental affinity group, I had the privilege of serving on the organizing committee that helped shape and launch the ESI. The initiative was deeply meaningful to me, combining my passion for sustainability with my role as a creative leader supporting brand and communication efforts.

To promote and raise awareness of the program, my team developed creative campaigns across multiple channels — including social media, events, and in-branch print collateral — ensuring the ESI’s mission reached employees, clients, and communities alike.

Program accomplishments included:

• Growing Eagles for Earth membership to 700+ employees by 2022

• Achieving 100% carbon neutrality in 2021

• Launching a Green Discount Program for LEED-certified construction projects

• Supporting 100+ environmentally focused nonprofit organizations

• Offering ESG-focused investment and portfolio management options for clients
